Phase 3: All of Italy reopens, including arcades

Full reopening from June 15, but with caution

After much anticipation, the new rules on obligations for the full reopening of Phase 3 have finally been made explicit.

We are currently waiting for the new DPCM, but in the meantime the okay has come from the individual regions. So finally, starting Monday, June 15, clubs, cinemas, discos and theaters will finally reopen their doors.

Among those who can resume business after this long enforced hiatus are arcades.

But the new rules are many, and there are quite strict measures for everyone.

Here's what you'll find in this article

CINEMAS AND THEATERS REOPEN, HERE'S HOW

For cinemas and theaters, of course, the compulsory mask rule applies and a limit of 200 spectators is set as the upper limit. If outdoors, these facilities can instead accommodate up to 1,000 people.

Added to these restrictions are requirements for natural ventilation, air exchange, and compliance with recommendations on ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Also needed are hand disinfection systems alongside keyboards, touch screens and payment systems. It is also forbidden to eat or drink during performances.

YES TO DISCO, BUT ONLY OUTDOORS

Discos will be able to reopen from Monday, but only the outdoor ones.

A safety distance on the dance floor of two meters is set for these activities, as opposed to the canonical meter off the dance floor. Reservations must be made online only, and there is a ban on ordering and receiving drinks at the counter.

Summer centers for children and youth

Starting Monday, the famous summer centers are also allowed to accommodate the youngest children and give support to parents, who have been struggling for several months now.

Again, there are precise rules to be followed regarding hygiene and safety, as well as regarding the mandatory adult/child ratio.

Game rooms also reopen

Also starting June 15 are game rooms, betting halls and bingo halls, according to guidelines approved by individual regions.

Measurement of body temperature will be required, and access will be prohibited if the temperature is above 37.5°C.

Many halls will need to reorganize spaces and the distribution of equipment to avoid crowds as much as possible and ensure the canonical measure of separation between users.

Service personnel will, of course, be required to wear masks and constantly sanitize their hands.

Dipenser sanitizers on the premises
The venue should be equipped at the entrance with dispensers with sanitizing solutions for customers’ hands.

All guests should wear a face mask where the 1-meter interpersonal distance cannot be met.

As for equipment, it will be necessary to provide cleaning and disinfection of hand-contact toys (push buttons, handles, etc.) after each use.

Indoor air exchange should also be encouraged.
